Abstract
This chapter serves as a comprehensive introduction to R programming, a widely used language for statistical computing and data analysis. Covering its history, features, and significance across various fields, including statistics, data science, and machine learning, the chapter aims to equip readers with fundamental skills to effectively utilize R. Beginning with practical aspects like installation and setup of RStudio IDE, we introduce basic concepts such as data types, variables, and operations. Subsequently, we explore data manipulation, visualization using ggplot2, and programming concepts like control structures and functions. Through examples and exercises, readers gain hands-on experience in writing R scripts and using conditional statements and loops. Finally, the chapter summarizes key concepts and provides guidance on further learning resources, empowering beginners to confidently embark on their journey in mastering R programming for data analysis tasks.
