Description & Coverage
Description:

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to advance, its potential to reshape law enforcement practices becomes evident. AI technologies, including predictive policing, facial recognition, and data-driven analysis, are transforming how law enforcement agencies approach crime prevention, investigation, and resource allocation. While these innovations promise to enhance efficiency and improve public safety, they also raise important questions about privacy, bias, and community trust. The future of AI in law enforcement requires a delicate balance, harnessing the power of AI to solve complex problems and enhance responsiveness, while ensuring that ethical considerations, transparency, and accountability are at the forefront of its implementation. As AI becomes more integrated into policing strategies, its role in redefining community trust and reshaping how law enforcement engages with the public will be crucial in determining whether it serves as a force for good or increases societal tensions.

AI and the Future of Law Enforcement: Redefining Community Trust and Problem-Solving delves into the intersection of AI and law enforcement. It explores how using AI in policing can redefine community trust and improve problem-solving while addressing the challenges and controversies surrounding its implementation. This book covers topics such as conflict resolution, ethics and law, and public safety, and is a useful resource for policymakers, government officials, engineers, academicians, and researchers.
